Principal's Message

Dear Marina High School Families,

It is hard to believe that we are getting to the end of this school year and that this is the second to the last Weekly Wave you will get before our summer break. This week I'd like to remind you of some upcoming opportunities for our students and for all our families.

We will have Summer School for four weeks, June 8th through July 2nd, 8:30 - 12:30. Please remember that Summer School is designed so that students who earned an F in a class have an opportunity to make it up. When students do not pass a class, they do not earn its credits and risk getting their high school diploma. If your student has an F on record, please support them by ensuring they enroll in Summer School. You can use the QR code included in the flier:

Our Seniors will  be taking their finals this week and the rest of the students will take theirs during the week of June 1 - June 4.

Let's continue to work together and let's have a great week.
Go Mariners!

Leave your legacy at our school
The Marina High School Athletic Booster Club is launching a donor wall and personalized plaque campaign to help support the future Marina High Stadium. From honoring a student or graduate to recognizing families, alumni, businesses, and community supporters, every plaque helps invest in student-athletes, school spirit, and future community events. Learn more about how you can be part of Marina High history.

Free CalKids College Scholarship Program
Through the State of California’s CalKIDS College Scholarship Program, newborns through students in 12th grade are eligible for up to $1,500 in a free college savings account to help pay for future higher education or career training. Tony Amezcua from our community partner Brighter Futures helps explain how the program works and how families can check their student’s eligibility. Learn more.

Immigration Clinic will be in Seaside June 1 | ¡La Clínica de Inmigración será en Seaside el 1 de junio!

Celebrating our English Language Learners and our Bilitarate Students
Celebrate our MPUSD students that have been reclassified from January - May 2026 (2nd semester) as fluent English proficient. Additionally we are honoring our graduating seniors that attained the State Seal of Biliteracy with a medal. If you have students that have achieved these exciting milestones join us in celebrating their achievement. We will have entertainment, light refreshments and and awards for each student.
